6d3595d215 ci: bump checkout action to v4 
Due to the transition from Node 16 to Node 20, the checkout action
needs to be updated to v4.

0667206913 Use checkout action in version v3 
The current version of actions/checkout is v3. That means that v2, which
we currently use, has been superseded. Update the version we use
accordingly.
